College Hills Annual School Store

The purpose of School Store is to provide school supplies, backpacks, and some clothing for children of families in our community who may be struggling financially. We want to ensure children can begin the new school year with appropriate materials and not be embarrassed or feel inferior if their family cannot provide the required school supplies or appropriate clothing. Each August is a new beginning for children. This ministry allows all children to enter school with confidence and pride knowing they have what is needed to be successful in this new beginning. This ministry relies on donations (monetary, backpacks, school supplies, and clothing), prayers, hours of sorting and folding clothes, packing parties, and many volunteer workers on the day of the School Store Giveaway.

Our School Store Clothing team prepares sets of clothing to distribute at our annual giveaway the Saturday before school resumes each year. We give gently used donations and new purchases from donated money. We know that beginning school with new clothes is a boost to self confidence and a good start to the school year. We want all children to feel the love of Jesus.

How can I help?

You can help by donating and/or volunteering. Pick an apple off the apple tree in the lobby and bring the listed school supplies back to the red donation box.

We collect kids' clothes sizes 4-20 all year. Bring clothes to the red box beside the aquarium in the Kids' Wing anytime throughout the year. Shorts for girls and boys are especially needed. Please, no adult clothes as storage space is limited. For the 2025 season, all clothing donations must be received by July 9.
