December 3 - 24, 2017

One of the things we love most about Christmas is the music. Whether it’s standing at the checkout line at Target or listening to the radio on the way home from work, the music reminds us of the season. In fact some of the most beautiful music ever written is Christmas music. It’s interesting that when the Bible tells the story of Christmas it uses the powerful medium of song. Join us over the next four weeks as we consider each of these original Christmas songs.

December 3           Mary’s Song           Luke 1:46-55
What was Mary looking for at Christmas? How did she respond to this amazing news as she anticipated the birth of the Christ-child?

December 10       Zechariah’s Song  Luke 1:68-79
God always keeps his promises. He was faithful in the past and he will be faithful in the future.

December 17       The Angel’s Song   Luke 2:13-14
How is Jesus an agent of peace in our world? What are we to do with the fact there seems to be more and more violence in our world? How might Jesus bring peace to us, to our relationships and peace to our world?

December 24       Simeon’s Song      Luke 2:28-35
The wait is almost over. The question is not what are you waiting for but who are we becoming while we wait?
